When I was growing up, my father owned a pickle factory, which consumed 
a lot of sugar.  One day he came home with a '78 Capitol record he got 
from the Spreckels salesman.  On one side was Johnny Mercer singing "My 
Sugar's So Refined" the other side was "Ugly Chile" with a supplementary 
label saying "Sweeten up that Ugly Chile with Spreckels sugar".  My 
father was not at all interested in popular music, so the record was 
immediately mine.
