Thanks Tom,
It seems that I was close with the Billy May recording, but not the  
trumpet soloist.
My apology to Mr Rasey.
A fine LA studio man (Capitol, Roulette, Reprise, etc.) whose 1940s to  
1960s musical CV reads like a who's who of big bands and great singers.
Now to find out if this is the version Scott Anthony recalls from his  
youth.
