No, I'm not.
Now it turns out that Le Dixieband is a vocal group, so perhaps not
even that band.
The Fat Tuesday claims to follow the Dirty Dozen - definitely not my
kind of music.
I hadn't had the patience to go through the whole list - the first few
days were enough for me.
Hot club de ma rue (Django style) IS my kind of music, as may be some
of the groups with Dixie or New Orleans in their name.
Having googled all of those, I've found that L'esprit de Nouvelle
Orleans and Hot Pepper are OKOM, but Sweet Dixie is a country group,
and Montreal Dixie, in addition to trad, play "Latin jazz" and
"coctail swing" (the latter sounds like the definition of muzak!).
For a long festival like yours, it is indeed even less OKOM than I had thought!
As to Peyton and Marsalis, the former rarely plays OKOM these days,
and the latter plays it just from time to time, so neither seems
really attractive to an OKOM'er, unless specifically mentioned that
either is scheduled to play traditional (in my book, this includes
swing).
Oh, I have forgotten one of the greatest gutarist who IS scheduled -
the great Howard Alden.
Still, not a lot.
Cheers
