[Dixielandjazz] LA Area Jazz Meet 1/25/09

This Sunday (1/25/09) the Valley Jazz Club meets 1:00 to  5:00 PM  at the 
Elk's Lodge, 20917 Osborne, Canoga Park CA.  This club  usually meets on the 
first Sunday of the month, but due to other events on Feb.  1, it is rescheduled 
this once.
 
The feature attraction this month is the Jimmy McConnell Quintet;   Jimmy on 
tp, vo & ldr; Scott Rowe,ts; Lester McFarland, ba;  Mike Saul,  pn and Howard 
Kurhan, dr.  We've heard these guys before, and they  swing!
 

Hot food and a full bar are available.  Admission $10, members $7,  
performing musicians and under 12 free.
