Hi Folks,
I think today deserves marking - 100 years since the birth of Gene Krupa.
Any events on the media in the US to mark this?
We have a 4 part series on network radio, which is very good. Next
helping tomorrow at 19:00 utc on BBC Radio 2. There is just time to
catch part one, which dealt with his early years.

BBC Radio 3 will be doing a tribute shaow next month.
How about it US fans?.Anything happening to celbrate the man who
lliberated jazz drummers from being mere time keepers.
I would argue that he was one of the finest traditional jazz drummers to
emerge throughout the history of our music.
Thank you Gene.
