[Dixielandjazz] Time Machine

Listmates, I'm certain that several others among you, in addition to those who already responded, would give alot to revisit the Crosby Band?during its heyday when it surely was in contention to be the top-of-the-heap group. Perhaps the Blackhawk, perhaps the Trianon Ballroom, perhaps at the CBS Studios in NYC during the Camel Caravan Broadcasts in 1939,.....but certainly somewhere. That's when the Bob Cats were young and full of pee and vee. Fortunately, we can still hear what happened ---- sort of -----but being there would have added so much to the listening experience, just like it always was being at Nick's or Ryan's years later. Remember the Phil Napoleon group?
For a #2 pick, wouldn't it have been great to be in the studio when the incredible Billy May abum "Sorta Dixie" was cut? I wore out 3 LPs of this one?before the CD came along..
