Great points, Ginny.
As we search for increased audience, it is indeed the girls who rule.
Since so much of my Dixieland work is in front of young audiences at
frat parties and/or swing dances, or at public concerts, we "woo" the
females. And that is what gets the males to come listen and/or dance.
Take a look at Barbone Street's My Space page, linked below. Note that
out of our top 40 friends pictured, 38 are young women. And if you are
a myspace member, take a look at our pictures, especially the ones
under "Swinging Thursday Night". Yeah, that's me kissing young ladies
etc. Not to worry, though, my wife, ever the marketer, took the photos.
