It's still apples and oranges.  Both are art forms unto themselves.  I, 
too, know what live jazz sounds like.  And that doesn't diminish my 
enjoyment of recorded jazz.

And as for the Olivers -- Archeophone included --, only the originals 
count.  All the reissues sound alike in my opinion.  And nearly all bad.
