With a bit of predjudice
I submit that many of the Red Ingle
sides are pure satire -- Moe Zart's Turkey Trot - a hillbilly fiddler's
approach to Perpetuoso by Pagnini
Song of Indians - a take off on Song of India
Them darn Fool thngs remind me of you., etc. Same goesfor many of the
Spike Jones numbers Red did - Glow Worm,
Liebestraum, Chloe, and such other Jones treatments such as Holiday for
stongs ala Chicken vocalists.
Not all satire is "social satire" - Parady is another form of satire.
