I don't know whether you're still looking for information about the Empire City Six in Dixie album, but if you are:
I got the record new in 1960 or 1961. It's a red vinyl record issued by Hallmark under no HLP 312S. At the time it was an excellent demonstration of stereo recording quality. I got a second Empire City Six in Dixie the following year produced by Sutton Records (No. SU240). It was recorded in monoraul, and it was nowhere near the sound quality of the Hallmark issue. It has an identical album cover to the Hallmark album, with six different song titles, plus a version of Battle Hymn Of The Republic.
Sorry I don't have any information about the musicians. I ripped both of these albums to mp3's, with a reasonably good reproduction of the original. The Hallmark album, after 50 years, still plays remarkably well.
