The other day someone was asking about Satchmo Festival. It is a
smaller festival than the Jazz and Heritage Festival, held in the
French Quarter and features local bands. The wonderful thing about
this festival is its location right near all the jazz clubs. You
spend the day at the festival and aren't so worn out that you don't
have the energy to go out in the evening and check out the local
clubs. It's hopping during Satchmo plus it's not as expensive to stay
in the local hotels. Yall come on down and "let the good times
roll!".

Also, as was mentioned, the New Orleans Trad Jazz Camp for Adults will
occur right before the Festival and qualifying students will perform
at the festival. Plus, there will be lots of opportunities to sit in
and play at the local clubs plus nightly jams at the Bourbon Orleans
Club right on Bourbon Street.

If anyone hasn't seen our website check out www.neworleanstradjazzcamp.com

Thanks for your support in helping us get the word out about camp. We
believe that New Orleans needs a camp like this, it's such a special
place - the music, the food, the architecture, the people the VIBE.
Hope some of yall can make it down here for camp.

Musically yours,
Nita Hemeter
