I'm gonna use this thread to plug one of my current faves -- MARIA 
MULDAUR!! 

I think she's the greatest white blues singer currently on  the scene.   
I thought I'd go see if she'd recorded this classic, and of course she has!!

Maria has been throwing in some Dixie licks since she recorded her first 
album in 197? ("Maria Muldaur") which had Mac Rebenack (Dr. John) on the 
job.  He made sure that the Dixie background was authentic, and she's 
been in the grove ever since!   My favorite album (other than the first 
one) is /Richland Woman Blues/ -- which features John Sebastian (Lovin' 
spoonful) on fingerpickin' guitar) on the first tune.

So... a little more of MKOM, which includes OKUM....
