[Dixielandjazz] Robert Degan (Hokey Pokey contributor) Dies

Dave Richoux pointed us to an obit of Robert Degan at age 104. Mr  
Degan claimed Larry LaPrise, who usually gets credit for authorship of  
"Hokey Pokey" stole his song. By way of proof Degan always cited his  
song, "The Hokey Pokey Dance" which was very similar and was  
copyrighted a few years earlier.

Dave then asked that we post no jokes about the coffin.

OK, but what were Degan's last words? Drum roll:  "Is this what its  
all about?"

Just heard it on one of the late night shows. <grin>
