[Dixielandjazz] Miff Mole

Australia's great trombonist Frank Coughlan was introduced to jazz by the 
recordings by the OM5 and Cotton Pickers, and his early playing was greatly 
influenced by Miff's style. Of course Frank soon found his own style but 
even in the sixties he would entertain young trombonists with a perfect copy 
of Miff's solos.

Frank once suggested that Miff's legato style was influenced by his earlier 
violin training. Does anyone think that would be relevant?
