Here's the 1st paragraph of an AP Obit in the NY Times. Notice the
reference to "Dixieland".

NEW YORK (AP) -- Willy DeVille, who founded the punk group Mink
DeVille and was known for his blend of R&B, blues, Dixieland and
traditional French Cajun ballads, has died, his publicist said Friday.
He was 58.

Later that same day, a staff writer for the Times wrote an obit for
DeVille. Here's his 1st paragraph.

Willy DeVille, a singer and songwriter and the leader of the group
Mink DeVille, whose adventurous forays into rhythm and blues, Cajun
music and salsa made him one of the most original figures of the New
York punk scene of the 1970s, died on Thursday in Manhattan. He was 58.

Hey, what happened to Dixieland? Maybe we need to turn it into salsa
to get to those punk kids? <grin>

Cheers,
Steve Barbone
