Hey Steve, Thanks for the message about Al Winters and the attribution to
Steve Hester. I played with and enjoyed Al as both musician and friend in
late 60s and early 70s.
Both Steve Hester and his dad were Al Winter fans and friends of mine.
Great jazz historians and swell fellows. I'm sorry to say that I haven't
kept in touch with these great guys--thanks again for the message. chuck
