[Dixielandjazz] Bud Shank. R.I.P.

The trombone mailing list reported that West Coast jazz legend, Bud Shank,
died of a heart attack at his home in Arizona on April 2, 2009. This is sad

I remember seeing Bud at the Concerts By the Sea, the Lighthouse, and other
venues in the Los Angeles area when I was just getting started as a jazz
fan. I treasure the recordings he made with the L.A. Four and under his own
name.

 

He will be missed.
