CLEO LAINE AND JOHN DANKWORTH  Ms. Laine is the grande dame of English  
jazz singing, and her husband, John Dankworth, is the first British  
jazz musician to receive knighthood. Both musicians are 80, and they  
pay an increasingly rare visit to the United States next week, backed
