Listees,
Craving your indulgence, and with grateful thanks for all the replies and
advice. I'm still having trouble getting "personals" through to Randy
Fendrick and Mike Thomason.

Mike can get hold of me by phone ....via BT website, location Bampton Castle
(the exchange; not my home:-) )

I'm copying the mail to Randy below so only read on if you're interested in
brass bands or who Randy might have sat in with in Bristol!

Jude

Your wife can come and do my garden any time:-)
Seriously , it's difficult to know where to start!

When you've got some idea of travel times I'll try and point you in the
right direction.

Our brass bands were often associated with collieries or other large
industries. I remember as a child hearing the (then prize-winning) Munn and
Felton band which was associated with a boot and shoe factory in
Northamptonshire

. Your best bet is to "google" and see what you can come up with... there
are still brass
band championships held.

If you start with the brass band connection then it shouldn't be hard to
build in some jazz and gardens,

Do you remember who you sat in with in Bristol? have a photo? We know and
have played with quite a few of the Bristol musos.

Good luck, Jude
