 Better dig deep for
this, if you ever find one.? I have seen individual copies of the
pre-1935 magazine going occasionally on Ebay for $50 an issue.?

I have explored the complete collection of Metronome at the Sibley
Music Library at the Eastman School of Music many times and marveled at what you can learn about early
20th century American music, plus get copies of early pops' songs printed therein for promotional reasons.? This collection occupies about 6 feet of space of shelving in their stacks?

This is such a rare collection that I
have contacted Google Books to come and copy the collection for the
benefit of all mankind.? The school library staff is also behind the
idea.? Google has put the project on their TO-DO list, but if numbers mean anything, the more of us who go to Google
Books and request this project proceed, maybe it will happen.? Then we all may be able someday to explore Metronome magazine online someday.?

There is another collection of equal interest called the Jacobs Band Monthly, that covered the market for concert bands that were very common throughout the US in the early 1900s.

Good Morning Everyone,
Its 2:08AM in Detroit, and I am wondering if anyone would have a lead to a
complete or sort of complete Metronome Magazine collection that might be for
sale? They started publication in the late 20's and continued until the early
50's? I guess I would have to drive to the seller's location to pick them
up.
