[Dixielandjazz] Skiffle music

The latest mailing for the 36th Annual Sacramento Jazz Festival and Jubilee
(May 22-25, 2009) lists some of the bands by category.  The Reynolds
Brothers Rhythm Rascals is the only band listed as "Skiffle."

The only definition that I recall for Skiffle music was by Ken Colyer (see YouTube
"This Train - Ken Colyer's Skiffle Group - 1954).  He said that the term
originated as a description of rent music played in South Chicago.

Are there other meanings?  What instruments does a Skiffle band have in addition
to washboard and string bass?
