This is all very funny because in the 50's in Dallas there was a radio station that did a sign off "From atop the hotel Stonely, overlooking the heart of downtown Dallas, K S K Y, "KSky" brings to a close another day, and played the Star Spangled Banner.
I was at another station in the area whose studios were in the basement of another hotel at that time. We were being frisky one night and did a signoff from the Deep dark dank basements of the hotel (name omitted to protect the innocent) K * * * ( The name sort of came out sort of "Kaburp" when you tried to say the letters) and played God Save the Queen. We were promptly fired but it was worth it!
