[Dixielandjazz] Advice and suggestions please

Without travel he could just listen, listen, listen.....and, play along with
the styles he is wanting to improve on...at home, on his own sound
equipment.    Jim 



Hello

A friend of mine in his late 50's, returned to clarinet playing about four
years ago, put a Dixie/Swing combo together and has made good progress but
he realises his limitations. He now has 1 - 2 month off work this year to do
some 'fast learning curve' studies, either via a 'Trad Jazz' course,
individual instruction or playing. Suggestions from the list would be
appreciated.  He is in the UK but could travel.
