[Dixielandjazz] Advice and suggestions please

A friend of mine in his late 50's, returned to clarinet playing about four  
years ago, put a Dixie/Swing combo together and has made good progress but  he 
realises his limitations. He now has 1 - 2 month off work this year to do  
some 'fast learning curve' studies, either via a 'Trad Jazz' course, individual  
instruction or playing. Suggestions from the list would be  appreciated.  He 
is in the UK but could travel.
