Just realized that the drummer in the Red Nichols Vitaphone You Tube  
clip (1929) was probably George Beebe.

Could he have been the inspiration for the 1929 Jimmy Dorsey Tune  
Beebe? Perhaps they played together a time or two in the Five Pennies?  
Both were members of it at one time or another.

Small world.
