<<Just TRY and imagine somebody like Frank Sinatra, or even Billy Joel,
sitting at a piano, with a laptop open and at the ready - it just takes away from
a professional appearance and mood... Everything just suffers...

The one that might be really good is the portable DVD player, at least I
could put that mostly out of sight - maybe a small stand next to me, below sight
lines... >>

First of all, if it were me, ANY device I'd use would be abound piano bench
height right by my side well below the visual aesthetics of the piano.

Second, Frank wouldn't be using sweetened tracks, nor Bill Joel. Just by
virtue of the fact that you're using an MP3 player in the first place blows that.

Therefore, you might just as well as come into this century in a tech-wise
sense, appearance wise. No sense hiding it, so you may just as well use it to
your advantage.

Maybe the average age of the chicks gathering around your piano might drop.
:-)

In any case, anything you do that prevents you from having to don
coke-bottle glasses to see the music (screen) will improve your image.

Glad you liked the DVD player thought.
