I've had a Winston soprano for about six years, and I've had very good luck with it.  I've been very impressed with the intonation, and I haven't encountered the problems that Larry reports.  I've never had it in the shop, though I've done a little tinkering with it now and then myself.  I use the stock mouthpiece that came with it and a #3 Rico Jazz reed, and I've had great success with it.
