Google has a feature that allows one to create a customized search
which can simultaneously search multiple specific sites --
and shere it with others. I just did one and put it on my web site;
It is at:
http://mainely-jazz.com/musicsearch
It looks in about 30 different web sites for the song title you key in.
If you want a specific song it is best to type in the whole title
in double quotes. e.g. "Just You, Just Me"
If you want all songs with the words moon and/or shine in them
type in: moon shine
without any quotes.
The sites it searches right now include a couple of lead sheet sites,
(like the one run by "Sheik") a couple of commercial sites like sheetmusic plus
and a number of public or university library sites which have digitized collection.
In the latter you can actually find the sheet music itself if it was written before 1923.
I haven't gussied the page yet, with explanations on how to use it, but I just
told you how so give it a try.
Let me know how it works for you
I plan to add a few more features as I discover how to do them.
Regards,
Craig Johnson
