Band leaders may be interested in the below site. In Philadelphia they  
have a "jazz" page of events posted on the internet. They may be  
active in your city. See:

I am just about to join the Philadelphia group. It is FREE and a place  
to list your gigs. I suspect that the people who visit this kind of  
site looking for places to go, are the young audience that some of us  
seek.
