Having been alive and breathing at the time Pepse came out with that jingle, I can assure you that the original went:

"Pepsi Cola hits the spot!
   Twelve full ounces, that's a lot!
Twice as much for a nickel, too---
   Pepsi Cola is the drink for you"

"Nickel, nickel nickel nickel,
    Trickle, trickle, trickle, trickle."
