Well, the kid has really done it this time!!!!

His new CD, "Puttin' On The Ritz" is simply SUPERB.

His supporting cast is Bucky Pizzarelli (gui), Ed Polcer (cor), Mark
Shane (pno), Joe Ascione (dms), Nicki Parrott and Joel Forbes share
bass duties.

Songs are Puttin' On The Ritz, Caravan, Darn That Dream, The Way You
Look Tonight, Body & Soul, Limehouse Blues, Don't Get Around Much Any
More, Someday My Prince Will Come, Runnin' Wild, Besame Mucho, Nuages,
Joshua Fit The Battle of Jericho.

It is just unbelievable. Hard to pick a favorite song on this CD. They
all swing incredibly . . . and why not given the players? It's like
Bob Finch said in his gravelly voice 6 years ago: "The kid has great
ears, he improvises jazz, and he swings his little ass off." It does
not get any better than that. (My favorite is Body and Soul)

Note his schedule. For our European list mates he'll be in Hungary at
the Bohem Ragtime Festival in April. Or here in the USA, in North
Carolina in February, Or see him in Venice Florida in March where
Paul Grant (Barbone Street trumpeter) will be among his supporting
cast. See him for an unforgettable experience, or failing that, BUY
The CD.

To other band leaders: Hire the young man for guest appearances,
you'll be glad you did.

Cheers,
Steve Barbone
