   I received this email this evening -- Wally Holmes, the festival director of the Sweet & Hot Jazz Festival in L.A. has lost his lovely wife, Peach. If anyone knows a snail mail or email address for  Wally, I'd love to send a condolences card.

Dear Friends,
Peach lost her valiant fight  on January 6, 2008 and died from complications related to Pancreatic cancer.  
She was an awesome woman of incredible strength and compassion and a loving companion to Wally Holmes for more than 50 years.  Her generosity and level headed guidance was invaluable to the Sweet and Hot Music Festival. Her contribution has set a standard to be met in future years.  We shall miss her greatly and remember her fondly.
There will be a private family service.  A public memorial will be scheduled in the coming weeks.  We will keep you informed.
