Gene --following my last response, I now realize that you asked a
serious question requiring a serious answer, so here it is - -

First of all, refuse to ever solo anything but first, since that is
your comfort zone.

  Second:
on your next camp visit, take the class session titled " Soloing After
the Clarinet et.al.".

Third: in your situation, if you miss the opportunity to solo first,
then solo after the banjo, as all persons have quit listening, and you
can make as many clams as you want and no on will notice - -this gives
you the best opportunity to learn to improve your solos. Remember -
-follow the banjo. ( a 2nd choice is the follow the drums, at which
time many in the audience will have left the building).

Five days a week my body is a temple.
The other two it's an amusement park.
