but odd nonetheless.
 
Hogmanay is 31st. December 
Hogmanay is thus 30th December 
and if you want to drink malt whisky on both evenings, 
slainte!
 
Hog-Many Eve is presumably a female of the species who monopolises lots on any
evening she cares to booze.
