Hi All,

You may already know that Jim Ritter went into  the hospital today for 
scheduled open heart surgery to correct a congenital  artery problem.  The below is 
an update from Frank Mesich at 3 p.m. on  his condition:

"Betty just called.  They did the surgery this  morning - re-routed the 
artery.  All the arteries are clear!!  Jim  is still asleep; they will wake him up 
this evening.  Everything looks  good!! (except that the beach house is not 
ready.  He'll have to recover  in Springfield.)

NOTE:  Jim was hoping to have his new house  on the Chesapeake Bay finished 
in time for him do to his recuperating  there.  Obviously Buck Creek will play 
the Orange County Festival without  him.  Al Smith  will fill in.
