Thanks for digging that up!
If thee was a comb it must have been really tiny...

The Bay Area trombonist Bob Brennan also plays a hot comb - he always  
uses a credit card slip (difficult to come by in these days of  
thermal printing) and it works great. American Express paper seem to  
work better than others for some reason.
