Your fish & chips won't be authentic unless:
1) The fish (cod) is deep-fried in batter;
2) The chips (cross-section c. 10x10mm) are golden yellow with a hint of 
brown (also deep-fried);
3) You've added salt from a large aluminium shaker and vinegar from a squirt 
bottle;
4) The final product is wrapped in a piece of greaseproof paper which in 
turn is generously wrapped in newspaper.

Eating the above delicatesse is to be done using no aids other than your 
fingers, while listening to Clarence Williams Jug Band on your Ipod playing 
"Sitting On Top Of The World".
