It is pronounced Nack-a-dish, at least by the locals.  I lived there for 
four years and taught mathematics and music at the Louisiana School For 
Math, Science and the Arts. I used to bring my small combo from LSMSA  
to the French Quarter Festival.  That was about 20  years ago when there 
were no crowds and no one outside Nw Orleans even knew about the 
festival.  I guess the latest unknown festival is the Sachimo Summer 
Festival.  Don't tell anyone about it.
