Which spawns another thread which might interest some.

There are a lot of GREAT jazz musicians all over the world who are not well
known outside of their territory, or country. Marek always has a few that he
points too. And Yaged is not "that" well known even in the USA.

How many great jazz musicians are there that are not well known because they
may choose not to tour, and/or may have other situations that prevent them
from  becoming household names among the jazz fans?

One that I am aware of is guitarist Sonny Troy. IMO one of the best jazz
guitarists in the world yet unknown outside of the Philadelphia area. Those
who have hear him for the first time often remark, Gee, where the heck did
he come from?
