[Dixielandjazz] Problem at wedding gig

Shalom Jazz Fans,

It seems I have reached the weekend with no fallout from my wedding gig
nightmare last Monday. Thanks so much to many of you who offered me advice
and/or encouragement--too many to reply to individually. All your words of
wisdom have been very helpful.

In other news, my hit and run jazz crew is going back to Sderot this Monday
to work with an organization that is delivering holiday gift baskets door to
door to some 400 families, as our new year begins this Wednesday evening.
They have arranged for us to do a show for 100 kindergarten kids from 3
schools, and we will also be accompanying their volunteers to do singing
telegram style schtick for as many of the home deliveries as we can in the
available time. We expect also to do our stuff in the center of town as we
usually do. Watch for my written and video reports to be posted late next
week.

To all my landsmen on DJML (and I hereby appoint all other members as
honorary landsmen), shanah tovah, happy and healthy and jazzy new year to
all.
