Larry, I have a Belkin FM transmitter which requires two AAA batteries
and plugs into a portable CD (actually DVD)
player, and sends a stereo signal to my FM Tuner on an FM frequency of
my choice.  Works great!

I  got mine from Circuit City, but I think Radio Shack also carries
them. It is very small, about 3in. by 2in. by 1in. thick.  It should
work with your mixer output.

Sorry, can't help with the Wireless mikes, but I did see on stage one
that went over the head, and another that came around from the ear.
