In a recent re-issue, Mosaic Records, at the below web site, lists the
trumpet player for the Gin Bottle Four and Jet Black Blues as Tommy Dorsey.

FROM: http://www.mosaicrecords.com/discography.asp?number=213-MD-CD

Scroll down a little past half way for the below listing:

---start snip

(SS) BLIND WILLIE DUNN¹S GIN BOTTLE FOUR: Tommy Dorsey (tp), unknown (p,
orchestra bells), Eddie Lang, Lonnie Johnson (g), unknown (percussion),
unknown (vcl, ³mouth percussionist² on 401843).
NYC, May 1, 1929
401842-B Jet Black Blues (unk-vcl) OK 8689
401843-B Blue Blood Blues -

Note: Discographies incorrectly list this session as April 30.

Hoagy Carmichael has been suggested as the pianist, percussionist and scat
vocalist on this session but he was en-route from Indianapolis to Hollywood
during this time.

I have no idea where they sourced their information, but interested parties
might wish to contact them if in doubt.

Interesting how different ears hear different things.

Cheers,
Steve Barbone
