[Dixielandjazz] Th"War" as a DJML topic

Hey! Where's the editing as far as keeping this newsletter on topic?
just because Ken Burns made a film about Jazz, does that automatically
qualify any of his films as a topic of discussion for anything he does
thereafter, using DJML ?

Reading several of the posts, I find nothing in most of them about any
references to music of any kind. Are we posting them because many of
the folks who are history buffs of any topic, are now finding that
this venue becomes another place for them to post all their tidbits
from that era, Do they think it's important and relevant just
because most of our songs were also from that era, so that's the
tie-in? To that notion I say, "Close enough, but no cigar."

So , shall we now discuss the cars of that and other war eras because
of tunes like "My Merry Oldsmobile" "Me and Lucille In My
Automobile". I can tell you about my grandpa's experiences tootling
around Oklahoma selling chickens and apples in his Chevy. (he probably
had OKOM on the radio. Is that close enough.?)
