[Dixielandjazz] Chicken Dance

Not surprising to me at all - ShaBoom could have been a "favorite  
song" of the grandparents  (possibly even great-grandparents?) of  
those kids.  Both the straight version and the Stan Freberg take were  
very popular all over the country.

In my family we sang songs from many sources - songs we heard on the  
radio, folk, comedy, parlor songs, camp songs, church, etc., etc.  
When cousins got together from all over the country we all sang them  
and learned new favorites.
Some songs my Grandmother certainly knew. (The Beatles write a song  
about that - I know a few OKOM bands cover "Your Mother Should Know" )
