[Dixielandjazz] OKOM and Wedding Bands

Depends on the age group. Older people like to talk while younger ones want
their ears blasted off. Personally I don't like the loud stuff. One
compromise is to take longer between tunes and look at visual clues. If
people seem to be shouting or moving close to someone's ear to talk you are
too loud. If people look like they are having normal conversations you are
probably just about right.

I sometimes advertise No Rock, No Rap, No Pain just your kind of music.

So far as language is concerned sad to say that it's OK, in many circles, to
drop the "F" bomb today. When I was about 30 I heard some young girls about
13 or 14 screaming it out on the street. I was somewhat shocked.
Truthfully I had only heard it used more or less freely in the military.
Today it might just pop out at anytime or anywhere. The "F" word isn't just
for the guys anymore but has become the universal word. It is the second
most universal word in the world next to OK. It is used for about every
part of speech from nouns to verbs and can even be used for punctuation.
It's kind of like Li'l Abner's Smoo's, for those who remember them, good for
every human need. With so useful a word like that just why do we need any
other?
