JUBILEE TICKETS BY PHONE
To guarantee delivery of tickets, no more orders are being sent by mail.
You can still place orders by phone, then stop by the STJS/Jubilee Office to
pick them up.  Call (916) 372-5277, ext. 19.

THURSDAY NIGHT KICKOFF PARTY - everyone's invited!
Get your tickets now for the Thursday Night Kickoff Party at Freeway
Gardens. Three great bands: Evolution Jazz Band, Vince Bartels¹ All-Stars
(aka MJW), and Paco Gatsby. Food and beverages available. Celebrity
bartenders. $10 in advance; $12 at the gate. Call the STJS/Jubilee Office:

FREE RIDES from Sac. Regional Transit (RT)
Jubilee badge holders will be entitled to some extras during the 4-day
festival. Sacramento RT is offering free rides on its buses, trolleys, and
light rail trains. That's in addition to the Jubilee shuttles that are also
free. Light Rail parking is free at Sunrise, Roseville Road (near Watt) and
Florin stations. RT website schedule:

FREE ENTRANCE to Old Sac. museums
Jubilee badge holders will be also entitled to free admission during the
festival to all 5 museums in Old Sac: CA State Railroad Museum, the CA State
Military Museum, the Discovery Museum¹s Gold Rush History Center, the Old
Sacramento Schoolhouse Museum, and the Wells Fargo History Museum.

WALT DISNEY'S "NEMO MOBILE" in Jubilee parade
Making its maiden voyage on Fri., May 25, in Old Sac, Walt Disney's Nemo
Mobile will delight kids of all ages at the Jubilee opening parade, which
begins at 11:45 a.m..

RALEY'S RV PAVILLION
The Raley RV Park will have a music venue with 500 seats; food & bev.
available.

REBIRTH BRASS BAND - CD signing at Borders Books
Borders Books will host a CD-signing party for the Rebirth Brass Band on
Sunday, May 27, 2:00 p.m. at the store on Fair Oaks Blvd. near the Dante
Club.

"JAZZ IN THE PARK" concert series
Check the STJS calendar for details on free concerts throughout June and

Q: What is the SAC. JAZZ JUBILEE?
Every ________ Day Weekend since ____, the Sacramento Jazz Jubilee, in the
capital city of the great state of California, has drawn hordes of music
fans from all over the world for ___ days of celebration and good vibes in
Old Sacramento and other downtown venues. Sponsored by the __________
___________ ____ _______, the event features a lineup that includes more
than 100 bands from all over the country -- some international bands, too.
Beyond the traditional jazz, there's blues, ragtime, salsa, zydeco,
barbershop, Western swing, and many other jazz-influenced musical genres.
The event kicks off with a colorful parade on Friday morning, then runs
through Monday, propelled by a number of unique shows along the way:
children's concerts; a Sunday morning "Celebration of _____ " with upbeat
gospel; almost a dozen youth bands; and a "Swing Dance Extravaganza," a
Lindy Hop competition featuring hundreds of top dancers from around the
country. Free shuttles transport concertgoers between venues. Free lightrail
and bus travel with Jubilee badge, as well as free admission to the 5
museums within Old Sac., including the world famous CA State ________
Museum.
