A couple of years ago I had a trio doing a private gig at a Casino at North
Shore Tahoe. As we were bringing in our equipment, someone from the
hotel/casino told us the same thing. Luckily the client who hired us, who
owned a large computer company, got it fixed. I don't know if he threatened
to pull his party out or if he got us covered under his own business
liability insurance.
That is the only time so far that I have run into this situation.
There was quite a discussion on this topic here on DJML a year or two ago.
I am sure some listmates, especially Tom and Steve, will have plenty to say
about this.
