That Miller Orchestra would have been a recording band. Miller formed his
first traveling orchestra in 1937, iirc. It failed and he disbanded,
reforming the orchestra that became famous sometime in '38 iirc.

Lord's Discography shows over 330 hits on Berigan. 1 is with Glenn Miller
orch. April 25, 1935. Tunes include A blues serenade, Moonlight on the
Ganges, In a little Spanish town, and Solo Hop.
He is also listed as playing in other groups WITH Miller in the Dorsey band
in 1931 (2) 1934 (2), Frankie Trumbauer's Orch , 1937and behind Lee Wiley in
1933 (2).
