I've recently bought another Humph LP, which ranges from the sublime
to the ridiculous: it contains the best version of Happy Go Lucky
Local I have heard to date (yes, I have several versions, including by
the Duke), but also an awful "Liverpool rhythm number.
The "old" Lyttelton band was, IMO, among the best jazz bznds ever, in
the category of the Hot Fives and Sevens, BG small groups, Jelly Roll
and Fats.
