It's marvelous, it's wonderful and it's amazing what you can do musically when you play a major festival that Pays an act well enough for them to bring out the Top players with creativity rather than just who ever does not have a gig today. :))

We can only hope that they can keep these better players in the band and tour them, it is definitely a major step upwards for the Preservation Hall Jazz Band and I am happy as a lark to see them start to Give the audience and the Festival buyers their Money's worth and that they have realized that they now have to compete for those good gigs because it is no longer business as usual.  Sounds like the JVC festival was a winner for them and just might change a lot of folks perception of this "Legendary Historical Name",  I would venture to say this engagement was probably the best the band has sounded in fifty years, and maybe even EVER.

If they keep it up they can certainly do a lot towards helping all of us re-establish an Audience of new comers to OKOM.
